Kate Nielsen was born and raised in Reno, NV. She recieved a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design. Kate is now working and living in Brooklyn, NY. She has recently been preoccupied with survival, kodachrome, carnivorous plants and the perfect Arnold Palmer. She does both commercial and fine art work. Her work has been honored by the Society of Illustrators, CMYK, Empty Magazine, and will be included in the fall 2010 3x3 Professional Showcase. Some recent clients include SF Weekly, Citlizen LA, Japonica Inc, and the Rugged Bear.
